California Passport Offices for Standard Processing
Routine processing at the post office or county clerk is 8-11 weeks at any one of the 517 passport acceptance facilities throughout the state. For an additional $60, there is a 5-week expediting option available.
Rush Passport Services
If you need your passport sooner, there are three California passport office that process same-day passports:
- The Los Angeles Passport Agency, located at the West L.A. Federal Building, 11000 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 1000. This office is open from 7:0 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
- The San Diego Passport Agency located at 1 Columbia Place, 401 West A St, 10th Floor. This office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- The San Francisco Passport Agency, located at 450 Golden Gate Avenue, 3rd Floor, Suite #3. This office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Appointments are required to use this service. Normal business hours for the Western Passport Center are 8:30 am-3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
