Payment at the Charleston Passport Center must be made by credit card, debit card, or contactless payment such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay. No cash, checks, bank drafts or money orders are accepted.

To enter the passport agency building, you must pass through a security screening and bring a government-issued ID. Leave guns and other weapons, food, and drinks in your car. You may bring a bottle of water.

Arrive early to get through security. But don’t arrive too early. You may not enter the Passport Agency office itself earlier than 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.
